The cost for a single item appraisal is $130 without paperwork and $100 with paperwork. Each additional appraisal is $100 (with or without paperwork). An expediated same-day appraisal completed while you wait is $180 for the first item & $150 each additional item. ***Note that prices may vary depending on the complexity of the piece and any testing/research that may be needed.
We recommend updating your appraisal every 3-5 years
The value of the metal and gemstones changes constantly due to market conditions. Accurate, updated appraisals are important because if your jewelry is ever lost, stolen, or damaged, your insurance company will refer to the appraisal document to settle the claim. An outdated appraisal can result in your piece being under-insured.
Once your pieces have been evaluated, we can then draw up a traditional appraisal that meets insurance company requirements for a formal, written description of your jewelry with replacement costs. We can also approximate a current market prices for your 'used' pieces with a fair market appraisal, (it's always good practice to include a traditional appraisal with any pieces you resell yourself).
